Please note, however, that someone can produce a fake Caller ID number and then ask you to call a different number - making them look legitimate on the caller ID and then redirecting you to a malicious phone number. For this reason it is important to pay attention to the number they redirect you to. As the representative pointed out, if you're ever unsure just call *611 from your phone and ask them about the message. I hope this helps someone else.
